MARCH MADDNESS TOURNAMENT

When I was filling out my March Madness tournament bracket this year, I felt really bad when I picked against University of Southern California in the first round. I opted to side with freshman sensation Michael Beasley and Kansas State. The reason I felt bad is because my friend Shane is an assistant coach at USC. Shane is a little guy, and you would never think he was a basketball player. I do not know where he gets his athleticism. His mom is a personal injury attorney in Louisiana and his dad is a pediatrician, and neither of them have an athletic bone in their body. Shane does not even look like he would, but he is a heck of a basketball player. He was the manager at Indiana for the basketball team, and a couple summers ago, he interned for Tim Floyd at USC. When we graduated, Tim Floyd called him up and offered him a job as an assistant coach. The funny thing is, my friend Andy’s cousin is also an assistant coach there. The two of them are now best of friends. I would love to go out there to visit them and catch a game next year.
